The exhibition was created in a collective process and exchange between the participating artists—as reflected in the joint introduction to the exhibition with contributions from all of them— takes place against the backdrop of global crises and a devastating spiral of violence that is currently spreading immeasurably in the war zones of Gaza, Sudan, Ukraine, and other combat zones. This spiral of violence also includes more subtle forms of repression that currently threaten fundamental democratic rights in all corners of the global fabric – including in Germany.
